Applying for Entry
There are three entry points to the Glasgow School of Sport Bellahouston Academy:
Pupils currently in Primary 7This Entry Point is for pupils who are currently in Primary 7 and wish to join the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy in their first year of secondary school.
Later Entry Points
Pupils currently in S2
This Entry Point is for pupils who are currently in their second year at secondary school and wish to join the Glasgow School of Sport Bellahouston Academy in third year.
Pupils currently in S4 or S5This Entry Point is open to senior pupils who wish to join the Glasgow School of Sport Bellahouston Academy for fifth and sixth year at secondary school.
Application Process
All applicants are required to complete an Application Form and participate in a series of selection trials. The trials include sports specific practical assessments, an interview and medical.

2012/2013 Selection Timetable
The following key dates may be subject to change. Please contact the Glasgow School of Sport to confirm. All application forms will be acknowledged and pupils will receive a letter informing them if they have been successful in gaining a trial.

Sports specific selection trials |
Sport specific trials begin on 21 January 2013 |
Pupils who meet the selection criteria for their sports specialism will receive a letter inviting them to a sports trial. |
Information Evening for S3, S5 and S6 applicants only |
Monday, 28 January 2013 |
Pupils for entry at these later entry points will be invited to this information session which will focus on the curriculum that sports pupils follow. |
Interviews for S3, S5 and S6 |
Friday, 8 February 2013 |
Pupils selected for interview at these stages only. |
Final Selection Day for pupils applying for Entry in S1 |
Wednesday, 20 February 2013 |
Pupils successful at the sports trial will be invited to attend Final Selection Day. This day includes an interview, medical and practical trial. |
Selection Evening for successful candidates |
Wednesday, 13 March 2013 |
All successful candidates will be invited to the School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy. |
My First Month at the School of Sport
Are you thinking about applying to the School of Sport next year but are a bit unsure about what to expect?
