Susan Ahrens - High Performance Coach Hockey has been involved in coaching for over 15 years and has coached at all age
groups and levels both in Scotland and abroad (Holland, Germany and Australia). As a player, Susan gained over 160 caps for Scotland, playing in 2 World Cups, 2 Commonwealth Games and played club hockey in Holland, Australia and Germany, where she won domestic honours as well as both the European Cup and the European Cup Winners Cup. Susan has led the Hockey Programme at the school since 2000 and looks forward to seeing many more successful hockey players coming through the School of Sport Hockey programme.

Euan Miller - Assistant High Performance Coach Hockey joined the full time coaching team in 2004, bringing with him a wealth of experience in youth hockey development as well as experience of coaching elite club and institute players within Glasgow and in the USA. Having gained a HND in Sports Coaching with Sports Development, Euan has gone on to complete a BA in Sport in the Community and is a SHU Level 2 coach. A former International player, Euan has dedicated his playing career to one club, enjoying a successful decade within Scottish hockey and regularly winning domestic league and cup honours. More recently, Euan has moved into a coaching role with the club where he hopes to continue the success. Euan enjoys working at the School of Sport and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead within the growing programme.

Derek Forsyth - Assistant High Performance Coach Hockey joined the full time coaching team in 2009. With over twenty years experience, Derek brings high level experience to the post. He is currently Scotland's senior men's assistant coach and head coach of Azzurri Kelburne, who have dominated the nation's domestic scene in recent years and made appearances in the elite European Hockey League. Derek's work will be largely focussed on the development of players through Scottish Hockey's West Performance Squad and as well as integrating national team principles and concepts into daily coaching at the School of Sport. |
