Harry Dunlop - High Performance Coach Hockey joined the full time coaching team in January 2011. Harry had coached at Performance level within Scottish Hockey for over 15 years as a National or Assistant National coach, working with both the Boys & Girls U16s and U18s Squads as well as working with our Senior Men’s and Senior Womens Squads. During these duties Harry has been part of the Scottish Hockey coaching team at the Womens World Cup & the Mens World Cup Qualifier.

He had two successful periods as head coach of Western Men’s Hockey club, during which time Western won both Scottish league & Scottish Cup titles plus 3 Gold medals at B Division, European Club Championships. Harry has a SHU level 3 Hockey Coaching qualification.

Euan Miller - Assistant High Performance Coach Hockey joined the full time coaching team in 2004, bringing with him a wealth of experience in youth hockey development as well as experience of coaching elite club and institute players within Glasgow and in the USA.

Having gained a HND in Sports Coaching with Sports Development, Euan has gone on to complete a BA in Sport in the Community and is a SHU Level 2 coach. Currently he is nearing completion in his UKCC level 3 Hockey coaching award.

A former International player at both indoor and outdoor disciplines, Euan has dedicated his playing career to Western Wildcats, enjoying a successful decade within Scottish hockey and regularly winning domestic league and cup honours as well as a Gold Medal at B Division, European Club Championships as Coach. More recently, Euan was appointed head of junior development with the club where he hopes the junior players will benefit from his expertise.

Euan enjoys working at the School of Sport and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead within the growing programme.

Derek Forsyth - Assistant High Performance Coach Hockey joined the full time coaching team in 2009. With over twenty years experience, Derek brings a high level of experience to the post . He is currently Scotland's head coach of the U21 Men’s team as well as the Senior Men’s assistant coach. He has had two successful spells as the head coach of Kelburne’s 1st XI who dominated the nation’s domestic scene both in the early 90s and more recently from 2004-2010. The team also enjoyed success in Europe winning a number of European tournaments. Derek’s work will be largely focussed of the development of players through Scottish Hockey’s West Performance Squad and as well as integrating national team principles and concepts into daily coaching at the School of Sport. Derek has a SHU Level 3 Hockey Coaching qualification.

Derek was part of the coaching squad at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi (Team Scotland Men’s Hockey).
