'Be a Winner' Book Launch | |
Co-authors Kenny Kemp and Richard Orr were joined by round-the-world cyclist Mark Beaumont and former Scotland rugby internationalist Gregor Townsend at Glasgow School of Sport to promote their inspirational book ‘Be a Winner’. Commissioned by Winning Scotland Foundation, ‘Be a Winner’ has been penned to inspire young Scots to believe they too can ‘Be a Winner’ in life. ‘Be a Winner’ features powerful messages from many of Scotland’s leading sportspeople including Sir Alex Ferguson, triple Olympic gold medallist Chris Hoy and tennis star Andy Murray. The book reflects the goals of Winning Scotland Foundation, a business-led, Edinburgh based charity that aims to encourage more Scots, using sport as the catalyst, to adopt a more positive, winning attitude in order to fulfil their potential in life. School of Sport athlete Joseph Amouzou and swimmer Victoria Milburn both had a sneak preview of the book before its launch and loved it!

| Here's what Victoria had to say. "Be A Winner" is a book that i think every young athlete will love to read. I really enjoyed the book,it was very motivating to read all about Scotland's amazing heroes and how they had to sacrifice many things to achieve their goals. In the book it states "I AM" this stands for Inspiration,Ambition and Motivation. I think this is a great statement and every athlete will use it in different ways to help them achieve their goals. If you train hard, focus and believe in yourself your big dream might come true. Be A Winner! |
